Pediatric Speech Pathology
Speech does not come naturally to everyone. Children often struggle with the mechanical and comprehension aspects of language, which can make it hard for them to express themselves or communicate with others. This can make forming early relationships more challenging, as well as make it difficult for them to have success in their education. They may act aggressively due to frustration, become emotional or withdrawn due to lack of confidence, or may feel depressed by their inability to understand and be understood by their teachers and peers.
Speech disorders may exist on their own or can be associated with developmental, emotional, or behavioral disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, or autism. Initially, a parent seeks the assistance of a pediatric speech pathologist when they find that their child is not meeting expected milestones.
While every child progresses differently, and all children struggle while learning, there can be signs that your child’s pediatrician will help you to identify as your child develops. If your child is showing signs of impeded speech and language development, a speech-language pathologist (SLP), such as the professionals at Neurorehab & Speech Healers, LLC, can provide assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment plans to help get your child back on track.
We have seen the impact our speech therapy has had on our pediatric clients. We have watched their confidence grow as their skills have improved. Our pediatric speech pathologists are excited and motivated to help your child free their voice and improve their life with practical language skills.
Adult Speech Therapist
Children aren’t the only people that struggle with speech and language comprehension. There are many reasons why adults may find themselves struggling with speech, even if they have never had any history of communication or speech problems. There are many disorders, diseases, and neurological conditions that may cause you to seek the assistance of an experienced South Amboy speech pathologist.
We work with many adults who are dealing with language and speech impairments, and provide customized speech pathology treatment to meet the needs, abilities, and desired results of each individual patient.
Whether you are having a hard time with voice modulation and controlling the volume, quality, and pitch of your voice, you are struggling to recall words or can’t identify common items, you are experiencing an inability to concentrate, or you are struggling with stuttering or even swallowing properly, a licensed speech pathologist can provide support and remediation to help you regain lost skills.
Our language therapists understand the frustration of living with a speech impairment. We also appreciate the joy and accomplishment that comes along with improving and regaining the skills that you have lost. Our experienced, compassionate, and motivated speech pathologists provide assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult speech disorders, allowing you to not only better understand your unique limitations but also to expand and regain your abilities.
